Great BBQ in the heart of the Texas Hill Country
For nearly a decade, Old 300 BBQ has been serving genuine Texas BBQ to thousands of visitors, seven days a week, in the heart of the Hill Country.
Whether you’re a Blanco resident looking for a great lunch or dinner, or a Texas BBQ fan from around the country - or world - we invite you to visit us next time you are in the Texas hill country. Old 300 BBQ sits right next to the historic Blanco County Courthouse, on the northeast corner of Pecan and 4th Street in the heart of downtown Blanco.
Blanco is a small, charming town of about 2,000 people, roughly 50 miles west of Austin along US-281. The town sits along the banks of the beautiful Blanco River and serves as the county seat of Blanco County. It's a favorite stop for Hill Country road trippers, wine trail visitors, and cyclists exploring the back roads between Austin, Fredericksburg, and Wimberley.
When you visit, you'll find plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, including our shaded front porch where you can enjoy live music on weekends. Out back, The Back 40 Event Center features a full dance hall and bar - perfect for private events, corporate gatherings, and live entertainment. There's plenty of parking right on the square, and the laid-back atmosphere means you're welcome to take your time and enjoy the Hill Country breeze.
Our promise to you, our customer, is to serve you the absolute best Texas Hill Country BBQ. On behalf of our pitmaster, Ladd Pepper, please relax, have a beverage, be yourself, and enjoy our food. All our food is handmade and is the best food we know how to make. And, trust us, that know-how is based on years of experience, quality, and good old-fashioned hard work.

What Guests Say About Our Restaurant
Took a nice lil ride from San Antonio up to get some BBQ and was not disappointed. Cozy lil restaurant, great options, but get there early as they do sale out of items.
I love me some 300 BBQ..if you’re ever in town, come by and say hello to these nice folks. You’ll definitely want to come back.
Great BBQ place! Loved brisket and Sausage.
BBQ was fantastic sides were ok. Cream corn was too watery not creamy at all. Atmosphere is nice and customer service was wonderful.
The BBQ sandwich was great! I had some coleslaw on mine and its was delicious! The staff were all very nice and helpful! I loved reading about the first 300 families that settled in Texas!! There were several family names I recognized! It was also quite interesting that they traveled from the “Berwick Bay” which is now “Morgan City” where i grew up!
Food was delicious. Cole slaw was great
Stopped in and grabbed a rack and 1\2 lb. Of Angus Brisket and a few sides. The wait was less time than it took to down a long neck in June. The ribs and brisket were amazing, sides all followed suit to make a meal you wanna brag about for months. 5 stars just isn't enough to rate the 300 BBQ proper. We will be eating our BBQ here for a long time. Highly recommend ya'll do the same.
Very kind staff and I had a great time playing my fiddle their at a birthday party 🎉🎻
The brisket is the best I've had in a long time!
I've been to more than my share of Texas BBQ joints and this was very good. Sides were good too. We go to Pit Room a lot in Houston and my wife says " not as good as Pit Room" frequently. Not this visit though. She said it was great and I agree. Would go out of my way to eat here again.
